Together with Henry and his family, we remember the life of Lucille Armstrong. In her memory, Henry’s desire is to start a fund in support of the weekday drop-in at One88 Community Church. Here some of Winnipeg’s most vulnerable find a place of rest, safety, love, and support. Its a place to have a conversation over coffee, be able to tell your story, and be known. The Fund will help operate the drop-in and provide services such as showers, laundry, access to hygiene supplies, and good food.
All monies donated in Lucille’s memory will be designated for use in the weekday drop-in. Donations will receive a charitable-giving receipt at the end of the year. Cheques can be made to “One88 Community Church” and “in memory of Lucille Armstrong” in the memo field*. A note will be passed along to Henry indicating your support in Lucille’s honour.
For other ways to give, see the DONATE page on our website. If done electronically, please be sure to include “in memory of Lucille Armstrong” in the notes/memo fields.
We are grateful for the Armstrong family and honoured to be part of remembering Lucille in this way. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to call/email us (see info below).
